Fall Celtic Festival Information At A Glance




ABOUT:

The Fall Celtic Festival is the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area’s Celtic Party of the Year—a two‑day annual outdoor celebration of the ever‑evolving cultures of Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany, the Isle of Man, and Celtic Iberia. Enjoy live performances, demonstrations, exhibits, and hands‑on workshops featuring music, dance, visual arts, crafts, food traditions, costumes, languages, folklore, and other creative expressions of Celtic culture. The Festival also designs unique interactive learning and play experiences that make Celtic culture vivid and exciting for children, youth, and families. Whatever your background—whether you’re stepping into Celtic culture as a new adventure or reconnecting with your ancestral roots—everyone is warmly welcomed.

 

LOCATION:

The Festival is held outdoors on the grounds of the Toronto Rock Athletic Centre, 1132 Invicta Drive, Oakville, Ontario, Canada L6H 6G1. Oakville sits roughly halfway between two of Ontario’s major cities, Toronto and Hamilton (about 32–38 km / 20–23 miles either way), and about an hour’s drive from the U.S. border crossings at Lewiston, Niagara Falls, or Buffalo, New York.

FESTIVAL ATTRACTIONS:

Although the Fall Celtic Festival’s program changes each year, some of our most popular attractions have included:

·        Live Celtic music performed by local bands, orchestras, singers, and choirs

·        Irish, Highland, and folk dancing, from stage performances to join-in demonstrations

·        Celtic-themed exhibits, demos, and hands-on workshops exploring traditional and contemporary culture through visual arts, crafts, folklore, storytelling, costumes, languages, history, and genealogy

·        Exhibition matches and sports clinics featuring Gaelic (Irish) sports and Scottish Highland Games

·        Dog shows highlighting popular Celtic breeds

·        Immersive, interactive play and learning experiences for children, youth, and families

·        Kid Zone with bouncy castle

·        Barbeque food tent with crowd favourites and vegetarian options

·        Specialty drink tents, offering craft beer, cocktails, Butterbeer (alcoholic and non- alcoholic), coffee (spiked or not), and tearoom delights

·        Whisky tastings in our famous inflatable pub

·        Traditional Soda Bread Baking Contest, where all visitors get to sample and vote on the entries

·        Bustling Celtic marketplace with vendors offering edible treats, artisan craftwork, souvenirs, and other intriguing finds

·        Fully barrier-free, wheelchair-accessible facilities

·        Gender-neutral washrooms
